Fictional Crowd is a place to read stories as they're written, write with readers alongside you, and share the journey.
How it works
Authors write their stories as projects. When an author is ready to share one, they open a Journey: a small group of readers who go through the story together. The author leads the journey as its guide, and adds activities along the way, such as a chapter to read, a short survey, or a question to discuss.
Readers find a journey, ask to join, and take part as new activities arrive. Along the way they can highlight passages, leave notes, and talk about the story with the guide and each other.
Three ways to take part
- Reader. Join journeys, read along, and share what you think. See Getting Started as a Reader.
- Author. Write a project and share it with readers. See Getting Started as an Author.
- Guide. Lead a journey through your project. See Getting Started as a Guide.
You don't have to pick one. Every account can read, write and guide, and many people do all three.
