As an author, you write your story as a Project, then share it with readers through a Journey.
1. Create your project
Go to Projects and choose + Project. A few short steps ask for:
- a Title;
- a Description: the first thing readers see;
- cover art, which you can skip and add later;
- the project's Project Language;
- details that help readers find it, such as its Genres and Intended Audience.
A new project starts as a Draft. Only you can see it, so take your time.
2. Write
Your story lives in blocks: one block per chapter, scene or part, in whatever size suits you. Open your project's content to add blocks and write in the editor. Your work saves as you go. See Writing and Editing.
3. Invite readers with a journey
When you're ready for readers, choose Create Journey on your project's page. You'll lead the journey as its guide: you decide when it opens, who joins, and which parts of the story to share as activities. Opening your first journey makes your project Active, so readers can see it. See Getting Started as a Guide.
You don't need a finished story to open a journey. Many authors share chapters as they write them, and use readers' highlights and responses to shape what comes next.
