Rewards & Sparks

Fictional Crowd recognizes the things you do here, reading, writing and taking part, with points, streaks and quests. Sparks are something different: an in-app currency.

Reputation

Your Reputation is the points you've earned. It has two parts:

• Reading grows as you join journeys and take part in them.
• Creation grows as you share your stories with readers.

Points come from things that reach other people:

Private work, like writing a draft or creating a project, doesn't earn points, because nobody else sees it yet. Leaving a journey takes back the points for joining it.

Your Reputation, Reading and Creation show on your profile. Some features unlock as you earn points, such as uploading audio for your blocks.

Streaks

A streak counts the days in a row you did something on Fictional Crowd. There are two:

• Your writing streak counts days you wrote. Writing always counts, even in a draft nobody else can see yet, because the daily habit matters.
• Your activity streak counts days you did anything meaningful: writing, or something that reached other people, such as publishing, joining a journey or completing an activity. Just opening the app doesn't count.

Days follow the time zone in Settings › Account. The activity heatmap on your profile shows the same days.

Quests

Quests are a few getting-started tasks on your Home page, under Get Started:

• fill in your profile, with an about section or your own avatar;
• join a journey;
• start a project and make it active.

Each one checks itself off when you do it, and the section disappears once they're all done.

Sparks

Sparks are Fictional Crowd's in-app currency. Your balance shows on your own profile. Select it to get more.
