You read a project inside one of its journeys. The guide shares the story a piece at a time as Reading activities, so everyone in the journey reads it together.
Opening a reading
Open the journey from Participating on your Home page or in My Journeys, then choose a Reading activity. New readings appear as the guide publishes them, and you get a notification when they do.
Make it comfortable
Use Text Settings to change the font, text size, light or dark display, and text width, and Enter Full Screen to read without distractions. Your font, size and display are saved to your account, so the app uses them too. The text width is remembered on each device.
Highlights and notes
Select any text to highlight it. Pick a color, and add a comment if you'd like to say something about that passage. View Highlights lists everything you've highlighted in the reading.
The guide can see the highlights and comments readers add, so they're a good way to tell the author what worked, what surprised you, or what didn't land.
Finishing a reading
When you reach the end, choose Mark as Complete. That saves your highlights and comments with the reading, and tells the guide you've finished it. Then carry on to the next activity.
Reacting to the journey
You can react to a journey from its page, to show the author and other readers how it's going for you.
