Stories on Fictional Crowd are projects, and you read them in journeys. There are a few ways to find one.
Explore journeys
Explore lists the journeys you can join right now: those that are Open. Search by the journey's name or description, the project's title, or the author's name. You can also filter by status to see journeys that are already under way or finished.
New projects on your Home page
New Journeys to Explore, on your Home page, shows active projects from across Fictional Crowd. Open one to see its details and whether it has a journey you can join.
What a project page tells you
A project's page has what you need to decide whether it's for you:
- its Description and cover art;
- its Genres, such as Fantasy or Mystery;
- its Intended Audience, and its Violence Level and Romance Level;
- its Potential Triggers: themes some readers would rather know about first.
Below that are the project's journeys. If one is open, you can join it from there.
When there's no open journey
If a project you like has no open journey, choose Join Waitlist on its page. The project shows as Waitlisted on your Home page, and you get a notification when a new journey opens for it. Choose Leave Waitlist if you change your mind.
Authors you follow
When you subscribe to an author, you hear about their new projects as soon as they're published. See Following Authors.
